Component Design
Our Preferred CAD/CAM Package
Westmach opts and uses OneCNC XR8 Expert as our main design and CAM Package. We have two licenses at our disposal to manage multiple customers designs at the same time. Our team attended the OneCNC training course in mid 2019 and have been using the software everyday ever since for mechanical drawings, component drawings, and 3D Modelling.
OneCNC offers a range of supported file types including DXF & STL if you have some drawings already that you wish us to utilise, have no hesitation as we will be able to view and alter the vast majority of 3d Models sent to us. The benefits of investing in the OneCNC platform has given us a single CAD/CAM package to do all our design and machining operations without the hinderance of an online platform which can be succeptable to outages and failures. All our drawings are dual backed by industry leading cloud services.
Electrical Design
Westmach can offer wiring schematics for control panels, automotive products and bespoke applications. Edraw is a relatively new addition to the Westmach line of software but again like the majority of things at Westmach we like things that are easy to use and well engineered so we don't have to waste too much time learning each little idiosyncrasy.
Edraw Max offers a full range of standard schematic layouts and fully customizable symbol libraries so if a symbol or component description is not actively available we can quickly draw or edit one from scratch. We have alternative software for wiring available upon request or you have your own documents that wish to be amended, please get in contact for further details.
Industry Leader
Westmach has full access & subscription to Autodesk Fusion 360 and have access to various other Autodesk programs for clients who prefer to use Autodesk based programs for their projects. Before we utilised OneCNC as our main choice of program we used the Autodesk platform for 7 years previous. Fusion 360 is still superior in many aspects of design work and this is one of the reasons we still support it and use it.
Westmach is also a very diverse and multidisciplined business who's ultimate goal is the needs of the client so we make it our mission to spread the breadth of our knowledge as far as possible and not confine ourselves to a single software package.
