About Westmach

The name Westmach originally came from an abbreviation of Westhoughton and Machining.

Westmach started at the pocket workshop industrial units in the center of Bolton in 2015.

Westmach is a small versatile family owned company and will attempt nearly any project involving precision engineering and industrial automation. Since Westmach's incorporation we've grown in size and capabilities and continued to invest and build upon our existing foundations, equipment and capabilities. Westmach have grown and invested heavily year on year since our very beginning in Bolton and will continue to invest in the most modern and industry leading technologies to see us long into the future.

Due to the businesses growth and winning some large contracts Westmach moved it's head office to Leyland and went Limited & VAT Registered in May of 2018 and have been operating from the Nalestar Trading estate since June 2019 and Since May of 2023 Westmach Ltd through consistent, continued growth has now moved to our new larger workspace at Boxer Place in Leyland.

This one little phrase is what we've built our company on and it stands behind everything we do as a business and as multi-skilled engineers. We always aim for perfection in everything that we do but starting from nothing we learnt quite quickly you didn't need the most expensive tools or machinery in the business to create and produce world class pieces of work and often came through where others had often failed or didn't want to take on the task. Although better machines and better tools make life easier and production times quicker It is often down to the engineers and machinists skill level, background knowledge and his or her eye that can make or break a job. If Westmach takes on the job we will deliver it.

Be dedicated and be resilient.

They say necessity is the mother of all invention and this is very true for us at Westmach Ltd. Jack Phillips the Owner originally started Westmach by building his own CNC machine as he couldn't afford a Mazak or Hurco at the time so he put his background as a multi disciplined engineer to good use. After some research and using available resources he went out and built one. One of Westmach's core beliefs is being multi skilled engineers you're going to experience problems and difficulties sometimes minute by minute but it's how you react to those problems that makes you.
